fairly interesting, and nice take on the main character's ability being his obtrusiveness, but i was somewhat turned off by the notion that the 'miracle generation' was awesome because it was made up of a bunch of individually talented players. If anyone recalls the tragedy of America's 2004 Olympic basketball journey, where a collection of individually incredibly talented players could only win 3rd place due to a lack of working together and practice as a team, you would know that basketball is definitely a team sport.
And in chapters 7-8, when the main character's team was able to whittle down the point differential somewhat from the cooperation of the main character & the guy who went to USA for middle school, the one giant question in my mind was this: if the other team was supposed to be so strong and a regular contender at the nationals, why aren't they able to pass out of a simple double team? If the 2 strongest players are covering one guy, it should be easy to pass to another member of the team (recall that the female manager states that the stats of all the opposing team members are great) and score points. It's basic basketball strategy and made me question somewhat the plausibility of this manga, or the mangaka's understanding of basketball.
i stopped after that, but i may give it a go again after a bit.
